Manoel Lemos is a managing partner of Redpoint eventures, the first venture capital fund in Brazil created in partnership with Silicon Valley firms.
Founder of Fazedores.Com, the first portal dedicated to the Brazilian community of the Doers’ Movement, Manoel was also Director of Digital Media for Abril Media, Brazil’s second largest media conglomerate and CEO and co-founder of WebCo, the first Brazilian company focused on the development of Web 2.0 products.
Before WebCo, Manoel founded and developed BlogBlogs, the world’s largest index of blogs written in Portuguese and was also CTO of Hypercom Brasil, a subsidiary of Hypercom Corporation in the USA. Earlier in his career, Manoel worked as a software engineer, solution architect and Internet specialist for local businesses, the Brazilian Government and the European Community.
Graduated in Computer Engineering from UNICAMP, Manoel holds degrees from ACE from Sloan Business School, MIT and Executive Education in Strategy for Media Companies from Harvard Business School, as well as an Executive Education degree from Venture Capital by the Haas School of Business of the University of California at Berkeley.
